Irrigation Companies Embrace WaterSense Information Request # 381 WaterSense is a partnership program with the U.S. Environ- mental Protection Agency that offers homeowners certified water-efficient products. Products that are the Wa- terSense label have been certi- fied to be at least 20 percent more efficient without sacrific- ing performance. For the contractor, offering products that are WaterSense certified provides a measure of client trust, as the products have passed a rigorous certifi- cation process. Rain Bird Rain Bird's ESP-SMT Smart Irrigation Control System has earned the WaterSense label from the Environmental Pro- tection Agency's WaterSense partnership program. This label certifies that Rain Brid's ESP- SMT has passed EPA's rig- orous testing requirements, confirming the controller's wa- ter-efficiency and performance in landscape settings. The ESP-SMT is among the first controller from a full-line irrigation manufacturer to re- ceive this certification. The controller has over eight years of historical weather data by zip code in its storage. Information Request # 607 38 LC DBM Cyber-Rain Inc.'s full line of weather- based controllers has become among the first outdoor technologies to earn the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's WaterSense label. The controller monitors onsite rainfall amounts and temperatures, along with the historical weather data, to ad- just watering on a daily basis to maintain optimum soil mois- ture levels.
