PEOPLE IN THE NEWS Ryan Lindsley Wisconsin Green Industry Federation congratulated Ryan Lindsley on being awarded a $500 Don Groth Green Industry Scholarship. Lindsley is a student at the Mequon campus of Milwaukee Area Tech- nical College. He is earning an associate degree in Landscape Horticulture at MATC. He also volunteers with the Campbellsport Youth Wrestling program, volunteers at church and in his community, helps out at his uncle's dairy farm, and works at Otter Creek Landscaping in Plymouth, all while main- taining a 4.0 grade point average. Rick Brinton Sales and marketing veteran Rick Brinton has been appointed as the general man- ager for the fence, rail and decking business at CertainTeed Corp. In this role he will assume this leader- ship role in addition to his existing responsibility as the general manager for the company's Restoration Millwork® Exterior PVC Trim product line. Brinton joined the CertainTeed roofing divi- sion in 1996 and held positions of increas- ing responsibility in sales and marketing. Marty Olberding Terex Aerial Work Plat- forms, a business seg- ment of Terex Corp., has announced that Marty Olberding has been appointed to the position of director, customer services. In this role, he will assume responsibility for the Americas' field service, customer care, international and domestic inside sales operations and used equipment teams. Olberding joined Terex AWP in 2005 as a Customer Service Manager. Jerry Frost TBEI, Inc. announced the passing of David Strehl, CFO. Jerry Frost, vice president of finance, was named the financial lead for the organization. Over the past years, he has proven to be an effective leader in the finance arena and brings great industry knowledge from his 12+ years with the company, including his role as Controller/CFO for Ox Bodies, Inc. Archie England James "Archie" Eng- land has been named as TBEI's director of engineering. For the past three years he served as the director of engineering and quality at SMI, Inc. England brings years of manufacturing and engineering experi- ence in the auto industry and heavy-duty truck equipment industry. Calpipe Security Bollards recently hired Michael McBride as its Eastern Region sales manager. In addition to support- ing engineers and end-users east of the Mississippi River, he will also be the com- pany's key contact for federal, state and mu- nicipal governments.
