NICOR Lighting added Kristean Alcocer to the position of eastern re- gional sales manager. Al- cocer is a former member of the Navy's submarine force and a University of New Mexico alumni. He comes to NICOR with extensive experience in lighting, electron- ics manufacturing, distribution, and sales. He brings with him a passion for customer service and a commitment to the selling process that NICOR believes will heighten customer confidence and build successful business partnerships. NICORĀ®, Inc. an- nounced that Rodney Huffman has joined their team as business devel- opment manager. Huff- man brings over 20 years of business management, sales, and marketing expe- rience from the semicon- ductor and solar PV industries. He will be developing new business opportunities for the company. NICORĀ® has headquarters in Albuquerque, N.M., and has been supply- ing quality lighting solutions since the early 1980s. The company is committed to bring LED Lighting to electrical distributors. Atlantic Water Gardens announced that Rick Bar- tel has joined the team as international sales manag- er and educator. He holds a master of science degree in wildlife biology, with an emphasis in habitat design management. As a 30 year veteran water feature designer, Bartel has been internationally published more than 350 times for his articles on the subject of quality water feature design and installation. Jason Mulcahy was re- cently named turf and or- namental market specialist covering the state of Flor- ida for FMC Professional Solutions. Mulcahy will provide sales and techni- cal support for the turf and ornamental segment in Florida, as well as collaborate with the FMC Professional Solutions pest management team within the territory. Most recently, Mulcahy was a regional sales representative for DuPont Professional Products, servicing New England and New York. The Irrigation Asso- ciation welcomed Robert Dobson of Middletown Sprinkler Co. in Port Monmouth, N.J., as asso- ciation president. A lead- ing voice in the irrigation industry for more than 40 years, Dobson has been an association member for more than 25 years and an executive committee member since 2009. His volunteer involvement has includ- ed service on the history committee, certi- fication board and IA ambassador program as well as both the contractor and landscape common interest groups. Mid Atlantic Enterprise owner, David Barglof was named a North American 2013 Landscaper of the Year. Thousands of fellow industry professionals were nominated for this prestigious award sponsored by New Holland Construction. Barglof was honored along with the eleven other recipients dur- ing a cruise to the Bahamas in November, 2012. As part of the awards package New Holland Construction presented the win- ners with a Snap On tool box and a New Holland machine. Backyard Creations won an Angie's List "Super Service Award" for 2012 in six different categories. Perennials in Carrollton, Texas is a complete de- composed granite pathway renovation where the cli- ent used to have a wooden raised deck and some thinning lawn. "Their wants were to have no grass in the backyard, have a meandering pathway through the garden (safe walking for the el- derly) and attract wildlife with a high prefer- ence for native plant material and a sustain- able landscape," said Backyard Creations owner Rich Collings. This property won the designation: "Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat" by the Texas Parks and Wildlife. Their property now attracts multi- ple species of hummingbirds and butterflies as well as many other birds and wildlife. T. Christy Enterprises appointed Chad Hogan- camp to regional sales manager. In this role, he will oversee Christy's sales efforts in California and Arizona. Hogancamp was previously national sales manager with National Signal, Inc., a manufacturer of traffic signs. From 2001-2006, he was a regional vice pres- ident of IPS Weld On. T. Christy Enterprises is one of the industry's leading suppliers of solvent cements, tools, geotextiles and other supplies for professional contractors. Truck Bodies & Equip- ment International added Nikki Kyle as marketing manager. TBEI is a Minne- sota based corporation that encompasses five leading manufacturers of dump truck bodies, hoists and truck and trailer equip- ment. Kyle will be based at their corporate offices in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, and will manage marketing for TBEI brands Crysteel, Rugby, DuraClass, and J- Craft. Terry Campbell has been named as its new gen- eral manager of Ox Bodies, Inc. where he will have direct responsibility over all operations and sales at its Fayette, Ala., facility. Before joining TBEI, Inc., Campbell oversaw opera- tions as general manager of the Kidron Divi- sion for V.T. Hackney, Inc. Trex Company, one of the world's largest manu- facturers of wood-alterna- tive decking and railing, announced that Ronald Kaplan, chairman, presi- dent and CEO, has been selected by ExecRank as a "Top Small Cap CEO" for 2012.
