Ninety-two years ago, a group of nurserymen in Oklahoma formed the Oklahoma Nursery & Landscape Association. Since then the nursery industry has changed dynamically to encompass wholesale nurseries and greenhouse operations, retail nurseries and greenhouse operations, landscape services from designing to building to maintaining, vegetable production, wineries, flo - rists, cut flower, interior-scape, hardscape and turf industry and all companies that supply and service the green industry. The association has worked at broadening and enhancing its services, education and fellowship to include all facets of the green indus - try in Oklahoma. Oklahoma Nursery & Landscape Association The OAN represents over 1,600 nursery stock producers, retailers, landscapers and allied companies in the nursery and green house in - dustry. The OAN Directory & Buyers Guide is a tremendous resource for sourcing and knowing the availability of quality plants. The online version, www.nurseryguide.com, lists over 500 growers, 4,500 plant varieties and over 33,000 listings. Oregon Association of Nurseries Above The Oregon Association of Nurseries produced the 2018 Farwest Trade Show. The event took place in late August at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Left An expert panel of judges selected SUMMERIFIC 'Cherry Choco Latte' Rose Mallow (Hi- biscus SUMMERIFIC® 'Cherry Choco Latte' PPAF CBRAF) as the Best in Show winner as well as the Peoples' Choice Award winner at the 2018 Farwest Show New Varieties Showcase. Above ONLA members and Habitat for Humanity joined forces in a project when they designed, irrigated, and installed plant materials to the main entrance of the Legacy Estates Neighborhood in June 2018. Left ONLA hosted the second annual Oklahoma Grows Conference and Trade Show on July 26-27, 2018. Above ONLA awarded four 2018 scholarships including the Jim Sanders Memorial Horticulture Scholarship to promising students in the horti- culture and landscape architecture programs at Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. Left The City of Oklahoma City declared July of 2018 "Smart Ir- rigation Month" to raise awareness of advances in irrigation technology and practices.
