STATE LC/DBM is proud to recognize some of the people and events that impacted green industry associ- ations, on the national and state levels, in 2018. The Arizona Landscape Contractors Association consist of 460 professional landscape and affiliated companies representing over 35,000 employees. ALCA is dedicated to helping landscape contractors by promoting continued educa - tion, effective business practices and networking opportunities, and ensuring responsible legislation to enhance the professionalism of members and the pub - lic's perception of landscape contractors and the green industry. Arizona Landscape Contractors Association Members of the Arizona Landscape Contrac- tors' Association gathered to celebrate and rec- ognize the fine work and artistry that the land- scape industry provides to our beautiful state at the 42nd annual Excellence in Landscaping Awards Gala held on November 17, 2018, at the beautiful Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park. The ALCA awards program reflects the associa - tion and industry's commitment to designing and maintaining the southwest environment as well as applying practices and methods that promote sustainability. With over 80 entries, the top three awards were presented at the end of the evening. Left, top: The Xeriscape Award was presented to Earth Care, "For All That's Green", Inc for the Carefree, Arizona Property. The San Diego chapter of the California Landscape Con- tractors Association (CLCA) honored local landscape contrac- tors with the 2018 Beautification Awards for excellence in landscape installation and maintenance, demonstrating the best quality, construction, originality and attention to detail on 2017 projects. These awards encompassed categories covering residential and commercial landscape construction, maintenance and renovation, along with water features, out - door lighting and water saving California-friendly landscap- ing.
