Above During this year's GIE+EXPO, the NHLA collaborated with NALP on the creation of a first-ever offering for crewmembers and leaders. The Technical Training program consisting of interactive lectures and hands-on experiences in indoor and outdoor settings was offered in English by NALP and in Spanish by the NHLA. Program participants appreci- ated the opportunity to refine their skills and deepen their knowledge. Above More than 100 members, partners and friends were on hand as the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute officially opened its new headquarters building in Alexandria, Va., in May, marking a new stage in the growth of the association. OPEI is an international trade association representing more than 100 power equipment, en - gine and utility vehicle manu- facturers and suppliers. They are the advocacy voice of the indus - try, and a recognized Standards Development Organization for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and active in - ternationally through the Inter- national Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Elec - trotechnical Commission (IEC) in the development of safety and performance standards.
