8 LC DBM IA Has More Exams at Their Show The Irrigation Foundation's Scholarship Program 2019 Irrigation Award Nominations Now Open This December, visitors of the Irrigation Show and Educa- tion Conference will have the chance to receive certification from exams hosted by the Irrigation Association. The IA's Certification Board has updated the certified irrigation con - tractor (CIC) exam content online, to be showcased at the show. Comprising 150 questions, this new form will intro - duce new matters for beta testing, and will not be scored. Passing the exam will qualify you as a certified irrigation contractor. For more info on IA's certification programs at the show, visit https://tinyurl.com/yaqjgndx . Students may now apply for the 2019 Irrigation Foundation scholarship program. The scholarships range from $1,000 to $2,500. The program seeks to provide financial support for worthy candidates, benefit the business commu - nity through better education and expose students to the expanding industry. Can - didates are awarded based on letter of intent, reference letters, financial need, resume, and a list of irrigation-related courses. There are other requirements for eligibility. The Irrigation Association and the Irrigation Foundation are now accepting award nominations for 2019. There are four award types: Industry Achievement Award, Innovator Award, Vanguard Award and Excellence in Education Award. Nominations are open through January 31, 2019. IA will announce the winners during Smart Irrigation Month's Technology Tuesday on July 9. The win - ners will also be recognized at the 2019 Irrigation Show and Education Confer - ence in Las Vegas.
