5/11 to 5/12 (seasonally adjusted): 19 states up, 30 down National construction employment is up 0.4%

Note: The new June unemployment numbers for the U.S. construction industry fell 1.4% to
12.8%. As opposed to gaining more employment, analysts say the drop is largely due to workers leaving the industry, causing concern that as construction picks up steam, builders will face a shortage of skilled labor.
