The USDA's Animal & Plant Health
Inspection Service allocated over
$425,000 in funding to continue studies
on downy mildew, pathogens caused by water molds that can cause
devastating plant diseases. The research will fund continuing studies on
the detection and mitigation of the pathogens on impatiens, cucurbits,
hops and basil. AmericanHort is also a stakeholder in this research.
