Grant & Power is a multidisciplinary firm with over 30 years of experience designing and installing landscapes. This extensive project included
extensive grading, installing drainage, forming swales, setting elevations,
creating two patio areas, a pond, two waterfall streams and extensive
landscaping. The final piece of this residential chef doeuvre was to illuminate all those elements for the owners enjoyment after sunset.
Lighting the Landscape
Two streams flow into a large pond, which separates two patios of concrete pavers and seat walls of tumbled pavers. Pennsylvania fieldstone
bridges ford the streams. The streams are lined with 1,300 square feet of
.45 millimeter EPDM rubber liner underlayment. The addition of seven
2x3-foot outcropping stones and 16 tons of granite boulders, ranging in
size from 1-3 feet, created the look of natural streams and waterfalls.
Three 20-watt halogen underwater pond lights illuminate the streams,
two beneath outcropping stones, and one under a stone bridge that separates the two patios.
